The best part about having long hair is how it looks styled, but the worst part is actually styling it. As Reviewed’s beauty expert, I’ve tested my fair share of hair dryers and there’s one thing they all have in common: They tire out your wrist and arm during the drying process. Don’t get me wrong—I love our top picks (I even own our Best Value Revlon 1875W Infrared Hair Dryer), which boast quick drying times and leave my locks sleek and shiny. However, Panasonic is calling for an end to the days of juggling a hair dryer while flipping your head upside down and finger-combing through your roots to get your strands to dry faster, and I’m here for it.
What makes the Panasonic Nanoe Hair Dryer different?
This $150 dryer comes with an oscillating quick-dry nozzle that moves from side to side while you style, creating more movement through the hair without you needing to flick your wrist back and forth. This results in a faster dry time and more evenly distributed heat throughout the hair, leading to less damage. All you have to do to utilize this function is slip the nozzle onto the front of the dryer’s barrel and go about your styling routine as normal.
How does the Panasonic Nanoe compare to other hair dryers?
The design of the Panasonic is similar to other hair dryers with an L-shape made up of a handle that contains high, low, off, and cool shot buttons, and a long barrel that the air blows from and the nozzles attach to. Once your hair is mostly dry, you can pop the oscillating nozzle off and swap it out for the concentrator, which most hair dryers come with to help you achieve straight, sleek locks. And on days you want to show off your curly or wavy tresses, you can opt for the diffuser attachment instead.
Like its Panasonic predecessors, the dryer uses the same “Nanoe” technology, that draws moisture from the air “to create tiny, moisture-rich particles that are small enough to penetrate hair shafts.” The brand claims that this prevents damage and enhances smoothness and shine.
You can find the Panasonic Nanoe Hair Dryer (EH-NA67-W) on Amazon for $149.99 at the end of January 2021.
